FourCan't Connect to the Internet?  Quick Tips!
One of the most frustrating problems you'll encounter with any computer is not being able to connect to the internet...

It can happen for no reason - right out of the blue.  And since so many vital functions (email, web browsing, and web help/advice) require an internet connection - you're really stuck when you can't connect.  Try these simple tips first:

  • Turn Computer Off - Completely shut everything down.
  • While It's Off - Check All Cables/Connections:  Sometimes it's simply a loose cable.
  • Turn Everything Back On - Sometimes all you need is a fresh start...

Still no connection?  Then disconnect your modem, both the power source and the connection, and re-connect them after a couple of minutes.

If you're still not on the internet - a couple of things to consider:

Re - Check Your Modem - often the green lights on the modem will tell you if you are receiving a signal.

Call Your Internet Service Provider:
Often they can tell you about power outages.  Particularly if there's been lightning or a severe storm in the area.  Or they can "ping" your computer (they send a signal to your computer and can tell if the connection is working). For example, lightning can fry your modem - and leave your computer untouched.

After that - if you're still not connected - you need to check your Internet Connection.  If you know how to do this manually - proceed (most people do not).  Otherwise, just go to your computer control panel, Network Connections, and check to see if your computer is working with your internet signal.  If we've lost you here - call us!  It is helpful to write down your error message before you call - or have it up on your computer.  Those geeky numbers actually mean something to us.

PS.  LOL, remember to check if your bill is paid.  If you use Auto Pay, for example, and your credit card company sends you a new card - the new card is not automatically switched over to your internet service provider.  You have to do it - and if you forget they may cut you off - a phone call will get it back on...

OneLIVING WELL:  Center IMT, Bloomfield, CT

Years of hard work-outs, marathons, and triathlons have taken a toll on Avi's back.  He's tried various forms of traditional treatment (including surgery) and while he's still able to hit the gym - the back pain didn't seem to want to go away.

Recently, Avs found a new method of diagnosis / treatment at Center IMT in Bloomfield, CT.   Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) combines advanced Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, nutritional wellness, and advanced therapeutic technologies to treat sports and orthopedic injuries.  As importantly, IMT not only treats the symptoms but also seeks, through advanced diagnostic techniques, to identify and treat the underlying causes of the symptoms.

Center IMT's unique approach enables them to help people with complex problems -  sports related injuries, orthopedic issues, and chronic pain.  They also provide pediatric diagnostic services / treatment, plus neurologic and geriatric rehabilitation.

According to Avi:  "I love the help I've received from Center IMT - and will continue to see them as my back steadily improves.  They're interested in my long term health and fitness (which I think is just awesome - so am I)"
